The Nevada Chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is planning the “Spin4 Crohn’s & Colitis Cures” event for December 3rd

LAS VEGAS – Fitness and spin cycle enthusiasts are invited to get a great workout at the Spin4 Crohn’s & Colitis Cures event on Friday, December 3, 2021, while supporting the estimated 30,000 Nevadans affected by inflammatory disease. intestine (IBD).

Spin4 Crohn’s & Colitis Cures is a high-energy indoor cycling event at three of Southern Nevada’s top fitness clubs.

The event is aimed at riders of all levels. Hosted by the Nevada Chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation in partnership with the Bank of Nevada and the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV, the event funds will fund research and help provide essential services to patients.

Registrations are open at www.spin4.org/lasvegas. Registrants can create their team, join a group or ride solo. Registration is $ 25 and cyclists are encouraged to ask friends, family and colleagues for support. The best fundraising teams will win prizes.

This year, the Marshall Family Philanthropic Fund generously agreed to match funds raised during the event.

IBD is a chronic disease that can often be debilitating and can lead to life-threatening complications. Due to the low number of doctors in southern Nevada specializing in IBD and the high number of patients, many trips out of state for treatment.

“Many participants ride for someone they love touched by IBD, or in some cases ride for themselves, hoping to inspire, encourage and motivate us to grow this movement,” said said Jennifer Campbell, Executive Director, Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation Nevada Chapter.

Last year, Spin4 Crohn’s & Colitis Cures events across the country raised over $ 1 million to support research, education and support programs for the IBD community. In Southern Nevada, proceeds from the event are split between the Nevada Chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation and the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV.
