Juniper Systems Limited launches the new GNSS Geode GNS3

BIRMINGHAM, United Kingdom, May 04, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Today Juniper Systems Limited, a manufacturer of rugged handheld computers and GNSS receivers, launched its Geode™ GNS3 Rugged GNSS Receiver, offering data collection real-time data with sub-meter measurements, sub-foot and decimeter accuracy options. The Geode GNS3 GNSS receiver is now available worldwide.

This all-new GNSS receiver offers a scalable platform allowing users to get the level of accuracy they need now, with the ability to increase accuracy in the future. Plus, it’s available without the exorbitant price or complexity of other precision receivers.

“This new Geode provides expanded accuracy options for our users,” said Mr. John Florio, Geode Product Manager at Juniper Systems, Inc. “We decided to offer a product that is scalable based on the needs of our users. The GNS3 allows users to get a receiver that matches their accuracy needs at the time, while enabling them to achieve greater accuracy through subscriptions when the need arises.”

Available in scalable single-frequency and multi-frequency antenna configurations, users have the level of precision needed to match the demands of a job. The Geode GNS3S (single frequency) offers pinpoint submeter accuracy with a single frequency antenna. The Geode GNS3M, with a multi-frequency antenna, enables scalable accuracy, including support for all constellations on L1, L2 and L5 frequencies.

Multi-frequency signal tracking, combined with Atlas L-Band correction subscriptions, provides decimeter accuracy. As with previous Geode receivers, SBAS corrections are available for sub-meter accuracy in some areas. Both models also support local GNSS RTK/CORS differential network corrections via the Geode Connect NTRIP client.

“The geode is such a flexible device; we have designed it for use in a wide range of industries,” said Mr. Simon Bowe, Managing Director of Juniper Systems Limited. ‘Atlas’ correction capability and scalable accuracy allow the geode to be used in markets such as railway maintenance, asset tracking, water utility locating, land mapping agriculture and irrigation, forestry services, environmental science, wildlife management and other remote mapping projects where other corrections services are not available, or which require a degree of higher precision.

Like all Juniper Systems products, rugged characteristics are inherent in the Geode GNS3 design. Tested according to the American standard MIL-STD-810G, it resists drops, shocks, vibrations and extreme temperatures. The enclosure is IP68 rated, moisture and dust proof.

The Geode GNS3 continues to offer flexible connectivity and can be used with devices running Microsoft® Windows, Android™ or Apple® Operating systems. Its all-in-one design makes it compact for easy portability. It has only one button for easy operation. The USB-C port enables data transfer and fast charging, and an antenna port allows the use of an external antenna, if desired.

Geode GNS3 single and multi-frequency receivers are available now from Juniper Systems Limited and our reseller partners. Visit our Geode product page for more information.
