A Conally ISD teacher in Waco, Texas faces a charge no parent would be comfortable with.

According to a report from our press partners at KWTX, Timothy Bruner, 59, was arrested Thursday, October 14, for online solicitation of a minor.

Who was the miner?

Fortunately, an undercover deputy was the “miner” Bruner communicated with. Many times agents set up bites or create fake online accounts to lure predators. Even though Bruner would have known he was communicating with a minor, he sent obscene messages and photos.

Who is Timothy Bruner?

Bruner is listed as a second grade primary school teacher with Conally ISD. The district issued the following statement regarding his arrest:

“On October 14, 2021, Connally ISD was informed by the McLennan County Sheriff’s Department that an educator employed at Connally Primary Campus has been arrested for suspected conduct unrelated to school. Information shared by McLennan County did not indicate any allegation of any act or victimization from the Connally ISD community. Connally ISD has placed the educator on administrative leave in accordance with ICAD policy and will continue to monitor this matter to ensure a safe school environment.

Right now

Bruner posted $ 50,000 bail and has not been listed as an inmate at McLennan County Jail since Friday morning.

With the deaths of 3 educators and 1 student recently occurring in the neighborhood, this news cannot be easy for the neighborhood and the community to face.
