Dell Launches Latitude 5430 Rugged and Latitude 7330 Laptops
Almost all construction takes place in harsh, computer-hostile environments: scorching heat, freezing cold, vibrations, rain, snow and ice. And there’s never a day that goes without someone dropping something heavy, spilling something, or throwing a cloud of dust in your work area.
For long-suffering field workers, Dell introduces the new Latitude 5430 Rugged and Latitude 7330 laptops. According to the company, the 5430 Rugged is the lightest and most powerful 14-inch laptop capable of 5G, and the 7330 is the industry’s smallest 13-inch, 5G-capable fully rugged laptop. Fully Rugged refers to a laptop computer tested to MIL-STD-810H specifications, drop tested up to 6 feet and rated IP-65 against water, dust and dirt.
The new laptops are designed with 11th generation Intel CoreTM processors with optional vPro. Particularly critical in remote areas where so much construction is taking place, connectivity is enhanced with Intel Wi-Fi 6E and optional 5G capability. Dell has also improved the daylight readability of these laptops and provided them with touch screens that can achieve up to 1,400 nits of brightness. (A slow is a number that describes the brightness of a TV, smartphone, computer monitor, or laptop. The higher the number, the brighter the display.)
Improved battery life gives you nearly 25 hours of runtime with two hot-swappable batteries. And an express load boost provides 35% load in 20 minutes for 24/7 field operations.
