Another CBSE school closes after student tests positive | Nagpur News


Nagpur: A CBSE school in Dabha will close for 10 days after a student in Std XI tests positive for Covid-19. The student is asymptomatic and got tested as a precaution before planning to travel out of town.
On Friday, a CBSE school on Kamptee Road was closed for a week after a student there tested positive.
According to sources from the Dabha school, the student has only attended physical classes once this week, but to comply with the standards of the health department, the principal will stop teaching in the physical class. with immediate effect.
An employee working in the administrative wing of the school said: “Today we received a call from the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) indicating that a student has tested positive and needs to speak with the principal. . We therefore put the municipal authorities in contact with the principal.
A senior teacher at the school said the student was asymptomatic even on the one day she attended school. “We check the body temperature and ask all the students about the symptoms, and she had none. It’s easier for us to manage because for the moment only Std IX has reopened for physical education, ”said the teacher.
As the Christmas holidays are fast approaching, the school has decided to synchronize their compulsory closure with it. The head teacher said, “We only had three working days left before the school closes for the holidays, so we do it early. Now, the reopening will take place on January 3. ”
All students and teachers who came into contact with the student were invited to undergo RT-PCR testing. Teachers who take the test will have to share their report with the school administration before they are allowed to resume their duties in January.
However, online classes will continue on schedule, ensuring that students do not experience an academic loss.
